The Laird RTBNC-4694F Series assemblies, with Neutrik's rearTWIST UHD BNC connectors and Belden 4694F RG6 cable, are built for 12G-SDI/4K extended bandwidth applications. Neutrik's rearTWIST UHD BNC achieves increased headroom and offers additional return loss reserve for potential impedance deviations resulting from cable bending, incorrect connector assembly or faulty connection interfaces without signal interruption. The rear twist technology simplifies insertion and removal of recessed BNC panel connectors and allows for easy patch bay interface. No special BNC removal tool is required; simply use the rear boot twist.
The RTBNC-4694F series offers a much more flexible option when compared to our standard RTBNC-4694R versions. With the flexible design, these cable also lose a bit of distance utilizing a coax rated for 12G-SDI runs up to 125 feet when compared to 190 feet with the 4694R models. The cable's new-age braid design, silver-plated copper conductor, and a new polyethylene formula are all design features that contribute to significant RL improvement and an 8 dB improvement on cable attenuation compared to existing coaxes. Fully compatible with SMPTE ST-2082-1 and ST-2081-1 standards.
12G-SDI Maximum Distance
Laird Certifies this cable to work at a Max Transmission Distance of 125 Feet for 12G-SDI even though Belden may show this distance as 184 Feet. To meet the Laird max transmission standard, signal integrity must remain 100% functional without any CRC errors. Your 12G-SDI ST 2082 signals may function at or beyond the manufacturer-certified lengths without issues; however, when CRC errors are present there could be drops in audio, video, meta, and ancillary data. In most circumstances, video integrity remains intact at OEM distance.
